GENNIE PEARL DAVIS EAST CHICAGO, IN Gennie Pearl Davis, age 74 of East Chicago, IN passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St. Catherine Hospital. She is survived by two daughters: Saundra "Penny" Davis of Houston, TX and Charoun (Hertis, Sr.) Shelby of East Chicago; five grandchildren: Akera (Chris), Norman III, DeAndre, Maya and Hertis , Jr.; two great grandchildren: Floyd and Ashaya; three sisters; two brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Norman Davis, Sr. and son, Norman Davis , Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3715 Butternut St. East Chicago with Rev, Dr. James H. Hunter, Sr. Paster and Rev. T. Brian Hill officiating. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church from 10:00 -11:00 AM prior to the funeral services. Hinton-WIlliams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
