Obituary of Gary-Lynn Bryant

BRYANT Gary Lynn, a local resident has planted his last tree, but not before exhibiting his talent by creating beautiful landscapes for his home and others. Gary Lynn Bryant, 57, of Bergenfield, passed away peacefully early morning, June 21, 2013, surrounded by his family and after a valiant battle against leukemia. He was born August 18, 1955, in Corpus Christie, TX, the son of Robert and Emily (Fechko) Bryant. Gary never married, but he broke a few hearts and had his broken too. He was a great son, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to his family members. Gary always had a helping hand for anyone who needed some assistance at any task. While his generosity with both his time and resources didn't make him a "financially" rich man, he was rich in friendships. Gary was simple, likable, smart, a great athlete, quick with a snide remark, obstinate, and he enjoyed his cooking shows. He could have done many things with his life, but he chose to remain in Bergenfield in the house where he was raised. He taught us to reach out and help those who needed it (whether they wanted it or not) and not expect anything in return. We will miss his good looks, playful nature, and his ability to get any plant to grow (all legal, of course). We know we now have another special angel above watching over us. Gary is survived by his sister, Shelley (Bob) Sazer of Bergenfield; brother, Mike (Lori) Bryant of Tucson, AZ; nephews Josh (Jenica) Sazer of Hackensack, Jason (Marissa) Sazer of Bergenfield, Chase Bryant of Scottsdale, AZ, Tanner Bryant of Tucson, AZ, and sister-in-law Carol Sazer of Maywood. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Emily. No services will be held at this time. Family and friends will be notified of Memorial Service to be held for Gary in the near future. Memorials to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 14 Commerce Drive, Suite 301, Cranford, NJ, 07016. The most generous gift in Gary's name would be to volunteer as a stem cell donor.
