STEDMAN Mr. Francis William Stedman, age 98 of Wallingford, previously of Heritage Village, Southbury and Cheshire, beloved husband of the late Helen (Moyer) Stedman, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Masonic Healthcare Center. Son of the late Robert Debois and Eva Margaret Hiltz Stedman, he was born on November 20, 1909 in Boston, Mass. Francis was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He retired as an assistant to the vice president after 49 years. Survivors include his son, Paul A. Stedman and his wife, Judy of Hopkinsville, Ky; two daughters, Judith S. Ryan and her husband, David of Milford and Deborah L. Stedman of Tenn.; eight cherished granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Graham of Weymouth, Mass. He was predeceased by three sisters, and a brother. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at in the Masonic Home Chapel, 22 Masonic Ave, Wallingford.
