COOPER, Frances MaryDecember 25, 1942 – September 14, 2014With great sadness we share that on Sunday the 14th of September Mary Cooper of Edmonton passed away after a courageous battle with liver disease. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter Loreen Walkhouse (William; grandson Adam), sons Robert Cooper (Melissa), William Cooper (Rosann); stepson James Cooper (Anne); siblings Douglas McCall (Lynne), Stacey Frank (Brian), Sheila McCall, Margot Lowe; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Ethel McCall and her brother Donald McCall.Mary will be remembered as a loving mother and sister, compassionate friend and a brilliant educator. When she retired she moved to Victoria where she enjoyed travelling, Scottish Country Dance, Bridge, Tai Chi and being with those she loved. She returned to Edmonton in January of 2012 when her health declined. Her greatest joys over her last years were watching her Grandson grow, time at the family cottage and being with family and friends. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the 18th of October at Spirit West United Church, Edmonton, followed by a private inurnment. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated.
