MORRIS, Florence Gwendolyn Peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 30th, 2011 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 69. Loving Mother of Camille. Dear Grandmother of Vanessa, and Mykala. Dear Sister to Daphne, William, Beryl, Jestine, Lucille, Gloria, Clifton, Lowell, Milton, and Winston. Predeceased by Joyce and Edna. Dear Aunt to many nieces, nephews. Cherished by many cousins, friends, and co-workers. Florence was born and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica, where she later grew and trained to be a registered nurse. She came to Canada, was employed as an RN at Grace Hospital. She later relocated to Toronto, where she worked at the now defunct Wellesley Hospital, and later St. Mike's Hospital. Florence was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, and was brave and resilient through all of the side effects of her cancer treatments. She was recently awaiting her second heart surgery, when she succumbed to congestive heart failure. She lived her life with a deep devotion to God, with integrity, and an unconditional love towards family and friends. She has given each of us who have loved her a beautiful gift to keep within us, and has left behind a beautiful legacy for her family forevermore.
