BEAL, Fern Mary Fern was born on October 28, 1924 in Drumheller, Alberta and passed away peacefully on July 1, 2014 in North Vancouver, B.C. She was the second oldest of six children born to John and Elizabeth Twerdochlib. In 1947, Fern moved to Vancouver where she met her husband Fred. Together they raised their three children Roberta, Brian and Christine. The family moved to North Vancouver in 1961, where Fern resided for the next 53 years. Fern enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the medical services field. Her many interests included gardening and music; however, time spent with her family brought her the greatest joy. Fern was predeceased by her loving husband Fred in 1991; her parents; and three siblings (Freddie, Alexandra and Mike). She will be lovingly remembered by her three children Roberta (Ron), Brian (Silvana) and Christine; five grandchildren Jennifer (Tim), John (Sarah), Bradley, Celeste (Tyler) and Amber; and six great-grandchildren Chloe, Bailey, Jada, Lillia, Jakob and Carmella. "We love you Super Nana!". Fern will also be sadly missed by her sisters Annyta and Irene; sister-in- law Ethel; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial, Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C. Memorial donations to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation - Evergreen House would be appreciated by the family.
