Evelyn Ruth (Paige) Girouard, 79, of St. Stephen, NB, died Tuesday January 7, 2003 at the Charlotte County Hospital following a sudden illness. Born at Deering, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Aurora (St. Jean) Paige. She worked 30 years for B.F. Goodrich, Watertown, Massachusetts before retiring to New Brunswick, first in St. Antoine, then later to St. Stephen. She was married to Archie Girouard who predeceased her on November 3, 1990. She is survived by 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Richard Reagon (Rose Marie). Flume Ridge, NB, and Jacqueline Girouard, Edmonton, Alberta, 2 stepsons, Roland Girouard, Edmonton, Alberta and Archie Girouard of St. Catherines, Ontario, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Paul Paige of New Boston, Mass., 1 sister, Grace Catania, Los Angeles, California, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, 2 sisters, Dorothy and Bertha, 1 brother, Richard, stepson Roderick Girouard, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB (506-466-1844) on Wednesday January 8, 2003 at 10 AM. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Marie de Kent, NB.
