Paul, Evelyn Florence NEW BALTIMORE Evelyn Florence (Burns) Paul, 92, passed away peacefully in Mesa Arizona on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 after a long illness. Evelyn was born in Stottville, N.Y. and graduated from Castleton High School in 1937. She married Francis E. Paul on August 3, 1946 and resided in New Baltimore. Evelyn was employed as a tax examiner for NYS retiring in 1974. She was a devout member of the New Baltimore Reformed Church serving as organist for many years. She also served the Town of New Baltimore as tax collector beginning in 1978 and continued for six two year terms. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Francis E. Paul; brothers, Clarence, Charles and Robert Burns as well as sister Viola Zinzow. Survivors include her sons, John and Robert Paul; daughter-in-law, Gloria Paul; grandchildren, Tammy Paul and Tim Paul; and great-grandsons, Chad, Nathan, Timmy Jr. and Jimmy. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1st at the New Baltimore Reformed Church, Rte. 144 and Church St. Burial will follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore. Friends may call at the church on Saturday prior to the funeral starting at 10 a.m. Contributions in memory of Evelyn may be made to the New Baltimore Reformed Church, PO Box 434, New Baltimore, NY 12124.
