Eugene James Bishop, age 82, formerly of 402 Pickens St. died Saturday, Jan. 12th at the Laurens County Hospital. He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late W.W. and Nina Crowder Bishop. Mr. Bishop was retired from Clinton Mills and was a member of the Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Eudean Rinehart Bishop of the home; two sons, Billy G. Bishop and Jamie G. Bishop both of Joanna; one brother, W.H. Bishop of Mountville; three sisters, Virginia McCarson and Betty McCarson both of Clinton and Sara Summer of Ninety Six; three grandchildren, Missy Bishop of Joanna, Mrs. Phillip (Bebe) Dance of Anderson, Shane Bishop of Waynesville and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Jan. 14th at 2 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the funeral from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
