Ellen Taaffe Anderson Ellen Taaffe "Taffy" Anderson, 60, died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Eden Springs Nursing Center after a slow decline into cognitive dementia. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.Survivors include her mother, Marion Anderson of Great Falls, Mont.; two sisters, Sue Anderson of El Cerrito, Calif., and Leslie Distad of Minneapolis; her husband, Jerry Messec of Tallahassee; and two daughters, Ashley Anderson-Messec of Longmont, Colo., and Lilly Anderson-Messec of Tallahassee.
