Anderson, Ellen O. MENANDS Ellen O'Neil Anderson, 82, of Folmsbee Drive, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her residence. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence B. O'Neil and Mary H. Connor and beloved wife of Charles F. Anderson Jr. of Menands. They were married in 1954. Raised and educated in Troy, she was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1948; Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1953 and Russell Sage College. Ellen was a registered nurse with Samaritan Hospital's operating room and was a private duty nurse for many years. Ellen enjoyed vacationing in New Seabury, Cape Cod, Mass. with her family. She was a former member of the University Club and communicant of Historic St. Mary's Church, Albany. Survivors, in addition to her husband Chuck, include her daughter, Mary Elizabeth McCahill (Philip) of Dallas; her granddaughter, Martha Ellen Sprague (Christopher) of Gorham, Maine and a niece and nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Historic St. Mary's Church on Capital Hill, 10 Lodge St., Albany. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
