WILLIAMS Elizabeth "Jane" Williams died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. She was born February 15, 1923 to the late Andrew and Julia Capers Williams in Allendale, S.C. She was the 10th of 14 siblings, all of whom have predeceased her. She relocated to Bridgeport in 1945 and joined the Mt. Aery Baptist Church. She was actively employed in various positions until she retired, including domestic, factory and laundry work. Survivors include a beloved niece, Juliet LaRose; a sister-in-law; Ann Williams; several other nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Morton's Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport with Re. Anthony L. Bennett, D. Min, Pastor of Mt. Aery Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewing Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to thank Cambridge Manor for the special care in her final years especially Shirley Paramore and the 2nd shift.
