TUSCALOOSA | Elizabeth Jemison Jackson, 94, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., entered into eternal rest on September 11, 2014, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Harold) Middlebrook, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was pastor of the Parkview (currently New Harvest) Church of God for fifty (50) years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Rush and Lillian Jemison; husband, Clarence Jackson; siblings, Lucinda Bell, Velma Hayden, William Jemison and Jessie Jemison.Left to cherish her memories: children, Charles Mock, James Mock (Pat), Betty Middlebrook (Harold), Wand Thompson, Leslie Jackson, Lillian Janice Houston; Tuscaloosa grandchildren to include, Deborah Jean Nevels (Clarence), Donna Bailey (Eric), Cecily Moss (Terrell), Isiah Houston (Latasha), VaDonna Williams (Leonard); three sisters, Bessie Crawford, Lucille James and Lillian Anders; brother-in-law, Johnnie Robinson (Lois); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Mary Ware, Annie Lois Palmer and Kervin Jones. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Hightown Church of God, Northport Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Hightown Church of God, Northport. Rev. Marvin Cherry will officiate. Bishop John Watkins, eulogist.Interment will follow at Cedar Oak Memorial Park with Jarnigan and Sons Mortuary, Knoxville, Tenn., and Rollins Mortuary directing.
