Funeral service for Elizabeth Henderson, 72, North Lincoln Street, Daytona Beach, who died June 9, 2007, at Halifax Medical Center, will be 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, with the Rev. L. Ronald Durham officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are today (Friday, June 15) from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Gainous Funeral Home and Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until time of service at the church. Mrs. Henderson was born in Waycross, Ga., and moved from there to this area 47 years ago. She worked in many areas of the Greater Friendship Baptist Church, and was employed as a nurse for many years. Survivors include her sons, Michael (Tamara), Morris Henderson, Charles Wesley, Jr., New Jersey, Anthony Ashley, Milwaukee, Wis.; daughters, Teanna (Jack) Avent and Tewanna Henderson; brothers, C.C. (Jewel) McCray, Waycross, Ga., Charles (Ester) McCray, Ft. Lauderdale; sisters, Edna Anderson, Waycross, Ga., Billie Thompson, Ormond Beach, Betty King, New Jersey; grandchildren, Eric, Erika, Michael, III and Jada Henderson, Jeniah, Jenesha Avent, Brittany Anderson, Raguelle Floyd, Charles Wesley III and Anthony Ashley; great-grandchild, Jimiya Revolus; and godchildren, Kelly and Kim Travillion, Caprice Jones and Laura Smith.
