June 8, 2010, age 66 following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Fred W. Stafford and Iva Lee Stafford. Survived by her husband, Ronald W. Hansen; sons, Nathan Lee (Ann) Hansen of NY, Erik-Lars (Sarah) Hansen of VA; grandchildren, Lucas Lee and Mason Zane Hansen; brother, Guye (Madeline) Stafford of NC; sisters, Betty Sue (Worth) Pearce of NC, and Hilda (Clyde) Cook of NC.Elizabeth graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in music, taught piano and earned an MS in Systems Analysis from the Graduate School of Management, University of Rochester. She worked in research and administrative positions at the Center for Governmental Research (Rochester), Eastman School of Music, The Ohio State College of the Arts and the University of Rochester. She owned her own publishing company and worked as a Realtor prior to retiring for health reasons. She was an active member of Third Presbyterian Church and especially loved participating in the choir.Friends may call Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave). A Funeral Service will be held Friday, 1:30 PM at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Ave., Rochester, 14607. Interment at Pittsford Cemetery.
