Elizabeth Etzler Todd, age 75, of Deltona, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012. A memorial service in her honor will be held, 3:00 PM Sat., June 2 at 1420 Anderson St., Deltona. Reverend Margaret Schmidt will officiate. Elizabeth was born one of 5 children, on the family farm in Historic Fincastle, Virginia to John and Signe Etzler. This dedicated member of Orange City Spiritualist Church, nursing graduate of the University of Virginia (Charlottesville), met and married her husband in Chapel Hill, NC. In her lifetime she lived in many places and explored all our country had to offer including: traveling, camping, and small business adventures. She was a brilliant, hardworking, conscientious, loving; wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed reading, gardening and was an avid Scrabble player and a gifted writer. She was also a good steward of the earth and communitarian. Her brother John Etzler, and granddaughter Kristen Wata preceded her in death and she leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 52 years; Robert Todd; two daughters: Signe Todd and Christina (Timothy) Wata; a granddaughter: Erica Wata; a brother; George (Betty) Etzler; two sisters: Signe Sue Paul, and Martha Kamm; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Etzler Crawford.
