Eleanor Owens Davis, 81, of 1232 Memorial Drive Extension, widow of N.G. "Sam" Davis, died March 5, 2002, at Allen Bennett Hospital. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Marion Luther and Lucy Ellen Stroup Owens. She was a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing and was a charter member of Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Christine Davis of Greer; one brother, Robert Owens of Greenville; one sister, Catherine Few of Spartanburg; and one grandson, Nathaniel G. Davis III. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Don Haton. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. The family is at the home of the son, Tom Davis, 1071 River Road, Greer.
