Obituary of Eleanor Johnson


Eleanor "Grammy" Johnson, 100, died Dec. 23, 2005, at Abbiejean Russell Care Center. She was born in Chattahoochee and lived in St Lucie County for 56 years, coming from Chattahoochee. She was a member and mother of First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Thelma Richardson of Fort Pierce and Virginia Maddox of Bradenton; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Smith; daughter, Ernestine Mayweathers; brothers, Damon McMillian Jr., Chester McMillian, Van McMillian and Clifford McMillian; sisters, Annie Bell Dixon and Annie Jane Smith; and two grandchildren. SERVICES: Visitstion will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 30 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dec. 31 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Dec. 31 at First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hillscrest Memorial Garden. A guest book may be signed at www.sarahsmemorial.com.
