Humphrey, Mr. Edward a resident of Pike Road, AL departed this life Sunday, July 15, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2012 at 12:00 PM from Peace Baptist Church with Rev. Rico P. Felder, officiating. Interment will follow Gilmer Cemetery with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, Inc., directing. Mr. Humphrey will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Edward met and married Elizabeth McKinley and to this union two girls were born, Marie and Linda. Edward was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rebecca and Phillip Humphrey, his daughter, Marie Moore and son, Bobby Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted companion and friend of 23 years, Sandra "Sand" Holmes; children: Rico Humphrey, Detroit, MI, Linda (Miguel) Robinson, Cleveland, OH, Tina Humphrey, Pike Road, AL, Phyllis Humphrey, Montgomery, AL; siblings: Thomas (Sharon) Humphrey, Chicago, IL, James Humphrey, Montgomery, AL, Deloris Jarrett, Cincinnati, OH, Annette (Warren) Humphrey, Montgomery, AL, Earnest (Ann) Humphrey, Detroit, MI, Mary F. Ray, Detroit Michigan, Frank (Gloria) Humphrey, Montgomery, AL; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially the gang up on the hill.
