RILEY, E. Joan (nee Stuart) At Longfields Manor, Ottawa on Sunday, May 13, 2007. Joan was born on June 21, 1924 in Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island. Daughter of the late Hector and Roberta (nee MacMillan) Stuart. Beloved wife of the late John Martin Riley of Belle River, P.E.I. Mother of Karen and friend and mother-in-law of Eric Johnson for 30 years. Devoted grandmother of Benjamin and Daniel Johnson. Mother of Jonathan (Molley Rothenberg) of New Orleans, Louisiana. Joan always looked forward to seeing them in the summer at the cottages in Wood Islands. Sister of Mary Sage (late Gordon) and Kathleen MacDonald (D Alex) both of P.E.I., James (Ina) of Halifax and the late Robert (Elva). Sister-in-law of Margaret Riley of P.E.I. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Anna and Mary Riley. Thanks to her many caregivers over the past few years, especially Dora, and the staff on Cedar Cove for making Joan comfortable in her final days.
