WILLIAMS, Douglas Everett Doug Williams (Ph.D., UBC) passed away very suddenly at home in Ottawa on October 28, 2003, at the too-early age of 53. He will be deeply missed by his wife and companion, Cynthia and his two brothers, David of St. Louis, Missouri and Dana of Carbondale, Illinois and his wife Terese. A talented and generous man, his touch as a warm and loving member of his extended family, especially as a devoted uncle and brother-in-law, will be greatly missed. He will be remembered by friends and colleagues across Canada, the United States, and elsewhere for his gentle manner and dedicated friendship; he lives on within all those he touched. A memorial service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Sunday, November 2nd at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Canadian Arthritis society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ottawa.
