Lawson, Douglas C.LAWSON, DOUGLAS C., Age 82, born on August 1, 1930, in Montreal, Canada, passed away following an extended illness on June 22, 2013, at Royal Gardens of St. Cloud, FL. Doug worked for over 25 years at Manning, Maxwell & Moore/Dresser Industries/Ashcroft in Stratford, CT, as a Customer Service Representative, Export Manager and Manager of Customer Service/OEM Accounts. He was a parishioner at St. Mark Catholic Church in Stratford, CT, as well as past President of St. Mark's Home School Association. Doug semi-retired to Kissimmee, FL, in 1985, and worked as a Collections Representative at Vistana Resorts in Orlando, FL. More recently, Doug was an active parishioner/volunteer at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, FL, and a volunteer at the Osceola Council on Aging. Doug was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Mary, mother Agnes (Chapman) Lawson, father Harold Lawson, brothers Tommy (Alaine), Frank, Art (Mary), Lenny (Shirley), Harry (Alice), sister Eileen (Arthur) Hebert, and brother-in-law Robert V. Miller. Doug is survived by his son Craig (Eileen) of Amherst, NH, daughter Sandra Turner (Kenneth) of St. Cloud, FL, grandsons Craig Lawson of Stratford, CT, Brendan Lawson of The Woodlands, TX, Dylan and Jarrett Turner of St. Cloud, FL, sister-in-law Cathy Miller of St. Cloud, FL, and many nieces and nephews. The Lawson Family would like to thank Brenda G. Pabellano and her staff at Royal Gardens of St. Cloud and Beverly Houghland, Chief Executive Officer of Osceola Council on Aging for the comfort and support provided to Doug and our family. Cremation services provided by Osceola Memory Gardens, 2000 Thirteenth Street, St. Cloud FL, www.OsceolaMemGds.com. A mass of celebration will be held this coming Friday June 28th at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 700 Brown Chapel Road, St. Cloud, FL. Graveside interment immediately after at Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Douglas C. Lawson to the Osceola Council on Aging, Barney E.
