WILLIAMS Dorothy May, Pastor September 21, 1926 - June 20, 2009 Passed into the presence of her Lord at SMH following a lengthy illness. Predeceased by parents Louis and Madge (Mossop) Williams and brother Floyd. Born in Squamish, she attended Vancouver Normal School and then taught at Port Kells Elementary. Her heart turned toward Christian ministry and in '59 she left for Kenya and later Uganda. She trained many young pastors who established over 700 churches. Also teaching at GTBC in Taiwan and in 30 other countries while authoring several books. In the late '70s she was principal of GT Bible College, Vancouver. A memorial service will be held at Glad Tidings Church, 3456 Fraser Street, Vancouver, Sunday, July 12, 2:00PM with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dorothy Williams Memorial Fund for African Missions, c/o Glad Tidings Church.
