<!-- FH = Craver's Funeral Home -->On August 16, 2010, Dorothy Mae Hallmark Johnson, affectionately known as "Mama Dot" and Mammaw," went to live with our Lord and Savior. For ninety-three years she graced this earth with her bright smile, twinkling eyes and enormously generous heart. Mama Dot was a former resident of Brewton, AL. She has resided at Englewood Nursing Home in Monroeville, AL for the past five years where she received excellent care from the staff and her friend and personal care provider, Mrs. Boots Luker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Travis Johnson; daughter, Martha Gail Burgess; and sons-in-law, Ray Burgess and Phillip Hudson.She is survived by one sister, Ruth Morgan of Gadsden, AL; daughter, Patsy Hudson of Monroeville, AL; sons, Jim Johnson (Etta) of Cornelia, GA, Russell Johnson (Margaret) of Birminghama, AL; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Services will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Eastwood Baptist Church, Monroeville, with visitation at 10:00 am and services at 11:00 am.Mammaw's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Interment will be at Green Acres Cemetery, Brewton, at 2:00 pm with Craver's Funeral Home of Brewton directing.Flowers may be sent to Eastwood Baptist Church, 1848 Drewry Road, Monroeville, AL 36460 or memorials may be made to the Eastwood Baptist Church kitchen fund.
