BEDFORD -- Dorothy H. Hooper, 90, died June 26, 2009, in Hackett Hill Health Care Center. Mrs. Hooper was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Bedford, a daughter of George and Alice Robertson, and was a lifelong resident of Bedford. Prior to retirement, she worked for New Hampshire Fire Insurance Co. for many years. Mrs. Hooper was a graduate of Manchester West High School, class of 1936. Mrs. Hooper enjoyed outdoor activities and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl H. Hooper. The family includes one son, George T. Hooper of Center Harbor; two daughters, Virginia E. Martin of Goffstown and Janet L. Pollock of Manchester. IN HER LIFE: The family also includes 10 grandchildren, Lee-Ann, Timothy, Stephen, David, Jeffrey, Kevin, Michael, Roland, Francine and Michael; 14 great-grandchildren, Joseph, Mariel, Olivia, Ethan, Carolyn, Hannah, Alexandria, Emma, Nathaniel, Emily, Annie, Zach, Matt and Billie; late brother and sisters, Frederick, Ethel, Alice, Elizabeth and Phyllis; as well as many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A calling hour is from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine St., corner of Harrison Street, Manchester. The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Bedford Center Cemetery, Bedford.
