Dorothy Constance Wells, 81, of Leesburg died Saturday (Jan. 12, 2002). Born in Key West and in the 1939 graduating class of Key West HS. As a career US Navy military wife, she lived in Rhode Island, Florida, Maryland, Illinois, and Japan. Before moving to Leesburg in 2001, she was a long time resident of Orlando. She is survived by her husband, Capt. John E. Wells of Leesburg; two sons, John E. Wells, Jr. of Bonner Mont. and Richard A. Wells of Key West; one daughter, Diana E. Bainbridge of Leesburg; one brother, John A. Steadman of Key West and five grandchildren. Services to be held at Florida National Cemetery at 1:00PM on Jan. 28, 2002.
