NORTHPORT Dorothy C. Ramsey, age 87, of Northport, died April 18, 2009, at Northport Medical Center-DCH. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Five Points Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Ramsey, Sr., and her parents, William H. and Bertha Coker.Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Mathis (Tom); her sons, Curtis Ramsey (Eva), Richard L. Ramsey, and David Ramsey, all of Northport; her brother, James Coker (Roselyn) of Coker; her grandchildren, Dewayne, Randy (Karen), Malissa, Apryl, Amberly, and Alexa; and a host of great-grandchildren.She was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church for 56 years.Pallbearers will be Keith Waid, Tom Mathis, Randy Ramsey, Bill Estes, Keith Lancaster, and John Moore.Honorary pallbearers are members of the Five Points Baptist Church community and friends, Amedisys Home Health, employees of NAPA Auto Parts, Audrey Poe, Janette Estes, Linda Barksdale, Brianna and Alyssa Ramsey, Lynn and Danny Bobo, and Northport Fire & Rescue.
