Diane L. (Daboll) Parker, 45, of High Street, Middlefield, wife of Richard C. Parker, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Middlesex Hospital, after a courageous two year battle with leukemia. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of Clara (Hubbard) Daboll and the late George M. Daboll. She was a member of The Parish of Trinity Church in Portland, attended Portland Public Schools and graduated from Vinal Technical School in 1980, where she met her high school sweetheart, who later became her husband. She was employed at McDonald's in Cromwell for 11 years. An antique lover she enjoyed auctions and had a tremendous love of animals. She was affectionately known as "Mom" to all of her daughter's friends. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Robert Levy for his love and compassion that he has given to Diane during her illness. Also their deepest heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of the Middlesex Hospital fourth floor south oncology and Weiss Hospice Unit. Besides her husband of 23 years and her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Mary E. Parker of Middlefield; one sister, Susan D. Brown and her husband Larry, of Middletown; niece, Sarah Brown and nephew Nathaniel Brown, both of Middletown; nephew, Mathew Nelsen and niece Amanda Nelsen, both of East Hartford; father-in-law, John C. Parker and mother-in-law Gertrude Parker, both of Meriden; and two brothers-in-law, Frank E. Wood and his wife Nanette of Higganum, and Richard Wood of Meriden. Besides her father, she was predeceased by one, daughter, April L. Parker and two brothers, George M. Daboll III and David A. Daboll. Funeral services were held at The Parish of Trinity Church, 345 Main St., Portland. Interment will be in Middlefield Cemetery, Middlefield.
