David Owens, 56, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at a local hospital. David loved to play and listen to music, especially the Eagles. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing football. He is survived by his son: Bryan Owens; his mother: Betty Hayes; two step-daughters: Shannon Beard and Jessica Roberts; his siblings: Shirley (Bobby) Mathis, Dennis (Robin) Owens, Joyce (Dan) Whalen, and Carol Coatney; three grandchildren: Gracie Roberts, Zack Roberts, and Kiara Beard; lifelong best friend: Billy Neese; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father: Henry Earl Owens; and one brother: Larry Riley Owens.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Home.
