David-Jerome Malone, son of Wilson, died at 26 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
Funeral services for David Jerome Malone, 26, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. A. G. McKinney will officiate. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Malone will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until funeral hour. Mr. Malone died Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Mumpfield, Aslee Mumpfield and Jethro Malone, and an aunt, Lee Etta Lampley. Mr. Malone was a member of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church where he was a member of the Crusaders and sang with the youth choir. David graduated from Talladega High School in 2003. He was a 2009 graduate of Alabama State University. Mr. Malone was employed with Koch Food in Montgomery. Survivors are his loving mother, Gloria Malone of Talladega; father, Wilson Malone of Talladega; aunts, Willow Feagins, Mary Malone, Viola Hollands, and Mollie McGee all of Phenix City, Lucinda Mitchell of Anniston, and Gloria Brown of Prattville; uncles, Jethro Malone, Jerry Malone and Sylvester Feagins of Phenix City, Ronald Brown of Prattville, and Charlie Mumpfield of Talladega; a special friend, Shree Dates. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.
