CHICAGO, Ill. - Mrs. Daisy Cofer Davis entered into rest December 7, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Forest and Lottie Cofer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael A. Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Hillside, Ill. Mrs. Davis, a native of Aiken County, was a member of Carpentersville Baptist Church, North Augusta and St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, Chicago. Survivors include a son, Oscar (Barbara) Davis, III, Chicago; three daughters, Christine (Aaron) Griffin, Winchester, Ill., Katherine (Claude) Daniels, Waycross, Ga. and Essie Sanders, Chicago; two brothers, Willie (Dorothy) Cofer, Augusta and Jimmy (Janet) Cofer, North Augusta; five sisters, Helen (Leroy) Stokes and Elizabeth Burton, Augusta, Shirley (Henry) Jones, North Augusta, Dorothy Thomas, Passaic, N.J. and Sarah Senior, New Haven, Conn.; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
