Corine Davis died peacefully in her sleep Monday, July 26, 2010, in Panama City, Fla. She was born Jan. 8, 1920, in Orange Hill, Fla., to Robert and Lettie McDonald Powell. She was married to the late Leo Davis Sr. and to this union they had nine children. She was preceded in death by her sister, Estelle Hosten; her grandson, Jeffery T. Davis; and nephew, James R. Davis.She was a faithful Christian and wonderful mother. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1954 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained faithful until her death. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her life and she will be missed dearly. She leaves to mourn her death five sons and four daughters, Leo C. Davis (Carlean) of Denver, Colo., Alphonza Davis of Panama City, Fla., Gloria Washington (John) of Winter Park, Fla., Bettie Davis (Frank) of Durham, N.C., Myrtle Jones of Panama City, Fla., Billy J. Davis (Charlotte) of Lynn Haven, Fla., Deborah Snowden of Clarkston, Ga., Michael Davis of Panama City, Fla., and James Davis of Tampa, Fla.; nephew, Eddie C. Smith of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; 24 grandchildren, and 31 great-grand children. The funeral will be at noon Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1620 Florida Ave., Panama City, FL 32401, with Brother Ellis Burke officiating. Public viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 30, 2010, at Pasco Gainer Sr. Funeral Home.
