Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., - Claire B. Boivin, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. She was born on January 3, 1930, in Plymouth, Mass. She was a graduate from Plymouth High School. As a long time residence of Plymouth, she worked as a U.S. postal worker for over 30 years and Sears for 20 years. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline's, active member of Plymouth Council of Aging, and encouraged children to complete their education.Claire will be remembered by her singing, special dancing, her humor and her love for children. She is survived by her beloved and devoted daughter, Kathleen Boivin of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; sons, Richard Boivin of Wyckoff, N.J., and Robert Boivin of Plymouth; sisters, Edith Fontaine-Enos and Geneva Schneider; brothers, Donald Fantoni, Ronald Fantoni and Wilbert Fantoni; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Private memorial services will be held in Plymouth at a future date.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Claire Boivin Scholarship c/o Parker Smith P.A, 1219 Airport Rd, Ste 31 Destin, FL 32541. The scholarship program will be made available for the staff of Superior Residences of Niceville Memory Care to continue their medical training.
