Christine K. WhiteRhinebeck - Christine K. White, 96, a longtime Rhinebeck resident, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Baptist Home, Rhinebeck.Mrs. White was the last of the graduates of the Northern Dutchess Hospital School of Nursing, where she worked her entire career of more than 35 years.Mrs. White was predeceased in 1979 by her husband Joseph R. White, Sr., and her son Joseph R. White, Jr. in 1968 during the Vietnam War and was a Gold Star Mother. Born November 18, 1915 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of Adolph and Christine (Steeneck) Meyer. Mrs. White is survived by her daughter Hertha Clark of Port Ewen; her friend, as close as a daughter, Carol Mead of Florida; three grandsons, Joseph White, Edward Clark and Thomas Clark; and five great grandchildren, Joseph White, and Bradley, Thomas, Aili and Jessa Clark. There are no calling hours.A memorial service will be Saturday, October 27th, 11 AM, at the Reformed Church of Rhinebeck. Interment will be immediately following in the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
