Pastor Charlie M. Henderson, 79OKEECHOBEE - Pastor Charlie M. Henderson, 79, of Okeechobee, passed Wednesday June 10, 2009, at his residence. He was the Founder and Senior Pastor of Miracle Faith Temple COGIC #2, Okeechobee. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 14 years, Queen Hayes Henderson; four sons, Johnny (W. Iris) Johnson, Miami, Charlie L. (Rosa) Henderson, Port St. Lucie, Timothy M. Henderson, Stuart, and Titus (Karen) Henderson, Okeechobee; four daughters, Virginia Thomas, Christine McBride, Twyla (Ernest) Blair, and Tammie Henderson, all of Okeechobee; five stepsons, Leon Hayes (deceased), Clista R. (Donna) Hayes, Victure L. (Wanda) Hayes, Roy C. (Shirley) Hayes, and Villery Hayes; one stepdaughter, Michi Hayes; 35 grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends and a loving church family. Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at First Baptist Church of Okeechobee, 401 S. W. 4th Ave., Reverend Randy Huckabee Host Pastor, and Pastor Jack Buckner, Cocoa District Superintendent, Officiating. The Wake will be held for friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday June 19, at Miracle Faith Temple COGIC #2, 1080 N.E 16th Ave., Okeechobee. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Brothers Funeral Home, 1803 North Tamarind Ave., West Palm Beach.
