DYSON Charles Richard Dyson, 73, of Jacksonville, died July 9th, after a long battle with cancer. Richard was born April 24, 1937, in Tallahassee, FL. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1962. Not long after being honorably discharged, he began his lifelong career of being a carpet layer (mostly in commercial buildings). Richard loved electronic gadgets and cameras-especially Polaroid Cameras. Richard was a self taught scholar of the Bible. He will be fondly remembered as one who would always do anything to help family and will also be fondly remembered for always remembering birthdays. Everyone got a birthday card from him, every year, even nieces and nephews. Richard is survived by his sisters; Melba Dixon and Barbara Poythress, and brothers; Larry McNeal and Curtis McNeal (Pat). A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24th at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Arrangements entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home.
