Obituary of Catherine Craig


Catherine Craig, 93, of Totowa, N.J., formerly of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away on Aug. 30, 2013, at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Totowa, N.J. Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 140 Shepherds Lane, Totowa, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Services are under the direction of McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J. Catherine was born in Mayo, Ireland, in 1919. She lived in Elizabeth, N.J., for many years and resided for the last 10 years at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly in Totowa, N.J., where she was lovingly cared for with dignity and respect. She had a great sense of humor and an adventurous spirit. She also traveled widely. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Craig. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Eileen Davis and Trish Craig Meyer and her husband, Guido; grandchildren, James Davis, Conor Meyer, Cassie Meyer, and Paul Meyer. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine's name to St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 140 Shepherds Ln., Totowa, N.J. 07512.
