January 27, 2005 Carrie Pearl Allen, 85, of 1207 Almond St., departed this life Thursday at University Hospital. Her daughter Lela Moore, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Artie B. Tyson and Joe Coleman (Emma) both of Syra-cuse and Willie Lipscomb (Minnie) of Opelika, Alabama; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren. Services will be Thursday 12 noon at Belle Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 219 W. Castle St. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
