WILLISTON, S.C. - Services for Carrie M. Bell will be held at 2 p.m., Friday April 7, 2006 at Folk Funeral home with the Reverend Larry Davis and Charlie Bowen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and burial will follow the service at the Williston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice or to the Elko Baptist Church, P.O. Box 277, Elko, S.C., 29826. Born in Williston, she was a daughter of the late Paul Francis Mitchell and Cornelia Gregory Mitchell. A retired bookkeeper, she worked many years for Winchester Smith Farms. She was a faithful member of Elko Baptist Church and the Clara Hitt Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bell knowledge of the Bible and memorization of scriptures were amazing. Mrs. Bell was devoted to her loving husband of 66 years, Vernon Bell, who preceded her in death on December 20, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Bell was a very special lady who was loved and appreciated. Her sharp mind, independence, and faithfulness were admired and respected by all who knew her. Although she had no children of her own, she was considered a mother and grandmother to many.
