Carolyn Johnson WOODRUFF, SC--Carolyn Waddell Johnson, 64, of 1409 Old Spartanburg Highway, entered the gates of heaven Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the daughter of the late James Carroll and Willie Barbery Frady, the loving wife of David Ted Johnson for over 48 years, a member of West End Baptist Church where she was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday school class, a retired agent with Liberty Life Insurance, past president of the Woodruff Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteered with The Good News Club. Survivors, in addition to her loving husband of the home, include her children, Ritchie and Tammy Nelson of Woodruff, Teddy Earl Johnson of Woodruff, Ray and Tobie Lanford of Madison, GA, Eddie and Sonya Cook of Boiling Springs, and Dennis Cook of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Adam and Misti Elwer of Madison, GA, Justin and Krystal Nelson of Wiggins, MS, Josh and Kim Lanford of Rutledge, GA, Kerrie Johnson and Paul Higgins of Campobello, Nickie Johnson of Sumter, Kacie Nelson of Woodruff, and Alexis and Blake Cook of Boiling Springs; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Benjamin Lanford of Rutledge, GA, Bryson Elwer of Madison, GA, and Cadence and Jayden Nelson of Wiggins, MS; and one sister, Carol Jean Price of Woodruff. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2010 at Forest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at West End Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bill Thomason, Rev. Kenny Moore, and Rev. Curtis Terry.
