OKEECHOBEE-Carolyn H. Simpson died January 27, 2015. She was born February 19, 1933 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Harold C. and Elizabeth Flahtery Hewitt. She was a bookkeeper. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Simpson. She is survived by her daughter, Debra C. Conroy (Phil) of Okeechobee; son, George H. Ury (Cheryl) of Port St. Lucie; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Edie Hanson of Virginia and Nancy Madore (Marvin) of New York; brother, Richard Hewitt (Lucille) of New York.
