SIMPSON Carolyn Cody Simpson, age 93, beloved wife of the late David L. Simpson, Sr., passed away at Masonicare in Wallingford, Connecticut on November 8, 2008. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her son, David L. Simpson, Jr. and his wife, the Rev. Cn. JoAnn R. Munro of Bloomfield and her daughter, Patricia S. Perkins of North Haven. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David L. Simpson, III of Charleston, S.C., Kent and his wife, Katie Perkins of Upper Darby, Pa., Bret and his wife, Donna Perkins of Philadelphia, Pa., and Marsi P. Wise of Montclair, N.J.; and her great-grandchildren, Tazio J. Perkins, Tiernan L. Perkins and Timothy Wise, III. Carolyn and her husband, David were residents of Fairfield for 50 years. She was pleased to have served her town as the Assistant Registrar of Voters for several years. Carolyn is the last survivor of the seven children of the late James and Mary Cody of Stratford. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1933 and was married in 1935. Mr. and Mrs. Simpson enjoyed 72 years of marriage. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 20, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Masonicare in Wallingford.
