Calvin Wayne Williams, 67, of Gainesville died Oct. 24, 2014. Calvin grew up in Millen, Ga. where he attended Jenkins County High School. Most recently Calvin lived in Athens and enjoyed playing golf with his friends at Double Oaks Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Williams; and children, Christopher Williams, MD, and fiancee, Anna Renae Ruminer, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lindsey Williams Hicks and Matthew Robert Hicks, Atlanta, Ga. He was a proud Pappy to one grandson, Wesley Ross Hicks, 2. Calvin was one of four children, and is survived by his brothers, Carroll, Millen, Ga., and Sydney Williams, Sardis, Ga. His only sister, Doyce Williams Godbee, Girard, Ga., passed away on Oct. 25, 2014. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family called Pinecrest Baptist Church their church home for many years. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to his daughter's school, Midtown International School, 500 Amsterdam Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30306; First Tee of East Lake, 2606 Alston Drive, Atlanta, GA 30317; or Center Point, 1050 Elephant Trail, Gainesville, GA 30501. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ward's Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ward's Funeral Home. The Rev.
