MORRISON Bruce Ripley Morrison, of Middleboro, 54, passed away at home, surrounded by his closest family and friends after losing a hard fought battle with cancer. Loved and befriended by so many for his quiet humble nature, he is survived by those who loved him most: his parents, Joan R. and Walter E. Morrison Jr. of Plymouth; his brothers, Walter E. Morrison III and Scott B. Morrison of Plymouth; his children, MSGT Mark C. Morrison currently serving in the U.S. Air Force at Maguire AFB in New Jersey, Dawn M. Smith of Brockton, Michele M. Herbel of Yorba Linda, Calif., Bruce R. Morrison Jr. of Milford, Alex D. Morrison of Weymouth, Cori A. Morrison of East Bridgewater; eight grandchildren; and his caring and loving significant other, Debra M. Martel, and her son, Steven D. Bedard of Middleboro. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rte. 106), Kingston, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006, at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301, or Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
