LAMONT, Bruce Maitland Peacefully, on Friday, September 3, 1999, in Oakville, surrounded by the love, comfort and support of Jean, Doug and Anne; 81 years young. Retired Royal Bank of Canada executive; Major - First Hussars (WWII veteran 1940-1945); graduated Sandhurst Military Academy, England (recipient of the Belt of Honour, 1942); sailor, skier, fisherman, outdoorsman, golfer, poet. Dearest husband and friend of Jean (Robins). Loving father of son Doug and his wife Kathy and stepchildren August and Melissa; and daughter Anne and her husband Christopher James and their daughter Kathleen. Cherished brother of Blair, Pauline (Henry Flynn) and Ross (Meribeth). Fondly remembered by sister-inlaw Joan Bailey; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 1999 at 2:30 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street (at Lakeshore Road), Oakville.
