She was a homemaker, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Willie and Rose Murphy and a brother, Ricky Murphy. Surviving are her sons, David Barry Owens Jr. (Meredith) of Central and Jeremy Dustin Jones of Easley, a brother Don Murphy, sisters Debbie Murphy Jameson and Jackie Murphy Clark, all of Easley, her nieces and nephews and her loyal pets, Sugar and Precious. The family expresses thanks and gratitude to her best friend and caretaker, Bobby Joe Ray. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at New Life Baptist Church at 3pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013. The family will receive friends 1pm-3pm before the service. Ronnie Powell will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Women's Ministries Anderson SC 29622. The family is at 149 Oakvale Dr. Easley, South Carolina.Palmetto Cremation Service
