LEE _ Betty Toy (nee Leong) 1916 - 2006 Our beloved, beautiful, vivacious mother Betty Toy Lee passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on January 22, 2006. She was a youthful 89 year old. Her passing is predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon Wing Lee in 1979. Betty had six siblings and is survived by her sister Eleanor and brother Gilbert. She will be sadly missed by her children, Gary (Josie), Valerie (Art Whong), Alvin (Ruth), Brenda (Ben Wong). Her grandchildren, Lori (Terry), Nick (Gert), Daria, Gloria (Ray), Jason (Trudy), Melanie (Todd), Christian, Robyn and Christopher (Cindy) will always remember her energy, zest for life and generosity. She had eight great-grandchildren (Ryan, Matthew, Michael, Gregory, Benjamin, Tanya, Zachary and Matthew). Mom had an incredible wit, sense of humor and a bright smile. She lived life to the fullest and especially enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family. She loved people and people loved her. Crocheting, knitting and reading were some of her favorite pastimes. She spent her last days at Shannon Oaks retirement home and had made many new friends there. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Interment to follow.
