FRANKLIN, GA - Graveside service for Betty Jean Smith, 79, will be Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. in Midway Memory Gardens of Talladega, AL with Rev. William Casaday officiating. Mrs. Smith died April 8, 2010, at Piedmont Newman Hospital in Newman, GA.She was a resident of Franklin, Georgia. She was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Smith; one son, Harold Smith; one sister, Mary Francis Hebson; and one brother, Norman Brown.She is survived by her loving companion, Leon Barber of Franklin, GA; two daughters, Carole Smith of Franklin, GA; Patricia Orr of Pell City; three sons, Charles Wayne Smith of Moody, James David Smith of Sycamore, and Curtis Lee Smith of Talladega; two sisters, Velma Perry of Brownville, TX, and Sarah Acker of Anniston; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be close friends of the family.Memorial messages maybe sent to the family by e-mail: midwaymemorygardens@live.com.
