AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Betty Ruth Hutchins Knox, 72, beloved wife of the late Mr. Elvan 'Nick' Knox, entered into rest on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Burke County Medical Center, Waynesboro. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Renew officiating. Mrs. Knox was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was an active member of the Salvation Army and was a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Stanley Knox and Michael Knox and his wife, Dale; a daughter, Patricia LaChance; a brother, Norman 'Babe' Knox and his wife, Joyce; six grandchildren, Nicole Whittingham, Samantha Knox, Roni Hirschauer, Patricia Gatch, Benjamin Michael Knox and Norman Stanley Knox, Jr. and nine great-grandchildren.
