Betty Joe Williams, 71, of Syracuse, departed this life, Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was formerly employed at University Hospital for 31 years, until retiring in 1997. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, of 52 years, William Lee Williams; one son, Dewveall (Dina) Williams of Syracuse; one daughter, Ann Renee (Lorenzo) Davis of Belvidere, IL; three sisters, Dorothy (William "Bop") Scott and Min. Theodora (Otis) Hill, both of Syracuse and Inez Hunter of St. Paul, MN; five granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; two devoted sisters-in-law, Eline Alloway and Josephine Sellers; two aunt; two uncles; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beattie St., with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Entombment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
